A Brief History: 

United Optical was established in 1962 as a wholesale lab by Joseph Rogero, Sr. He had several accounts in the Jacksonville area when his son, Joseph Rogero, Jr., joined the business. Soon they decided to expand their operation to include a retail store with an independent doctor of Optometry to perform eye exams. Through their contacts in the industry, they were able to purchase overstock frames at a discounted rate and pass the savings along to their customers. The business has since expanded to five retail stores throughout Jacksonville. Joseph Rogero, Jr. is now the President of the company as well as the Lab Manager and maintains the long held family position that good eyecare should never be cost prohibitive. We control our product from start to finish. Regardless of where you have gotten your eyes examined, once you become our customer our goal is to ensure your purchase fits your needs, is delivered in a timely manner and enhances your life.
